'Give up the ghost' continues until 16 August
Solo exhibition ‘Give up the ghost’ is open at Galerie pompom until 16 August.
The exhibition consists of 27 artworks, made of acrylic paint applied in various ways to canvas and board. David Greenhalgh (a remix video artist who, for his primary income, works as an archivist/curator type at the National Gallery of Australia) has written a short essay to accompany the exhibition.
“James Lieutenant is an artist who creates work with an interrupted signal. In creating this new series of screen-printed works on canvas, he decided to adopt a new philosophy and process in order to create visually arresting and uncomfortable work. Lieutenant calls this the agitated surface.”
Email Galerie pompom for further details.
Solo at Galerie pompom postponed
Solo exhibition ‘Give up the ghost’ was set to open in April at Galerie pompom (Sydney). This has now been delayed until July, further details to come.
'Mark Making' at M16 Artspace
James has been included in ‘Mark Making’ at M16 Artspace (Canberra). Curated by Jas Hugonnet, the exhibition runs until Sunday 15 March.
